Gone but never forgotton- R.I.P Tupac Shakur

Spread The Word

19 years ago yesterday, the hip hop legend that is Tupac Shakur passed away following a tragic shooting in Las Vegas. He was an emcee, actor, poet, author, and at 25 had so much more to offer to the world.

Many remember him as an aggressive, preachy gangster rapper, but the truth is he also  had a softer side which shined through on tracks like Dear Mama and Keep Ya Head Up. Long regarded as one of the greatest rappers of all time, he wrote music which empowered women, sparked change, and reached out to poverty stricken youth.  His life may have ended too soon, but even to this day, unreleased material of his continues to surface. Our song of choice to remember him by is a socially charged rap about neglectful fathers, and something of a forgotton gem. Here is, Papa’z Song.
