Drake’s Hotline Bling is going to be quiet at the Grammys

Spread The Word

Did a Cash Money clerical error cost Drake a Grammy for Hotline Bling?

After nominations were released for the Grammy’s earlier this week, Kendrick Lamar was rightfully recognised for the impact he’s made on music over the past year; racking up a staggering 11 nominations including ‘Album Of The Year.’

One artist/singer/sensitive rapper (whatever we want to call him) we expected to see matching Kendrick for his nominations was Drake. After having a successful year under the OVO brand he’s been put forward for 4 noms. However after releasing one of the most popular songs and videos of 2015 in the form of Hotline Bling, the single has fallen short of any sort of nomination (which seems extremely strange because that’s all my radio seems to play).

It has come to light according to Hits Daily Double, Cash Money made a clerical error in the office and failed to submit the record for nomination. You may possibly begin to hear rumours that this was deliberate sabotage by Birdman, as we’ve seen recently the Cash Money Camp hasn’t been the happiest of places to be involved with. How true these rumours are, I’m not sure; but the record is definitely missing out on a chance to walk home with a Grammy.
